It all started with a cookie class. I tried decorating cookies, and fell in love. It was so much fun! I started baking cookies and making my own icing, and it was so challenging. Much more challenging than I thought it would be. But I was determined to figure it out. All of the design options started to blow my mind a little, there are so many ways to decorate one single cookie, and every time is different. And every order is different. There is always a new technique to try, always something to learn. Making cookies excites my soul and challenges me to grow. And I’m always improving. It has expanded from giving them away to family and friends, to selling them at the farmers market. And now, doing custom orders and having a website. Trying to think of a company name was hard! And then it came to me. I get frustrated easily and have short patience when things don’t go my way (cookies have made me much more patient). Texting with my friends one day, my pal’s phone autocorrected my last name (Stavast) to “Stabsat”. My friends thought it was hilarious and appropriate, and it became our inside joke whenever one of us was having a rough day. It only seemed fitting to use it for my business name, even though I know it’s hard to pronounce!  I try and exceed my customer’s decoration expectations with every order, and above all, I hope you love how the cookies taste.
